About Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
This therapy is a way of talking about how you feel about yourself, the world and other people. Unlike some of the other talking treatments, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on the ‘here and now’ problems and difficulties. CBT can help you to change how you think (‘Cognitive’) and what you do (‘Behavior’). It can help you to make sense of overwhelming problems by breaking them down into smaller parts making it easier to see how they are connected and how they affect you. CBT includes a variety of approaches and therapeutic systems; some of the most well known include cognitive therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy and multimodal therapy. CBT was developed through a merging of behavior therapy with cognitive therapy. These two traditions found common ground in focusing on the “here and now”, and on alleviating symptoms. It is considered as the treatment of choice for a number of mental health difficulties, including post-traumatic stress disorder, bulimia, and clinical depression.

Reasons for heart palpitations
Most people with palpitations have some type of cardiac arrhythmia. There are lots of different causes for heart palpitations. While some of these are due to the heart itself, there are lots of reasons outside the heart that can also lead to heart palpitations. These include:
• An overactive thyroid
• Electrolyte disturbances
• Fever
• Pregnancy
However, in some cases palpitations can be caused by more dangerous arrhythmias, such as ventricular tachycardia. Life-threatening arrhythmias are usually seen in patients with underlying heart disease, so it is especially important to identify the cause of palpitations in individuals who have underlying heart disease or who have significant risk factors for heart disease (such as family history, smoking history, high cholesterol, overweight, sedentary lifestyle).

Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States and it is caused by the spirochetal bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, and it is transmitted to humans by the “bites” of certain kinds of ticks. The early stage lyme disease symptoms develop three to 30 days after someone is bitten by an infected tick. The most common symptom of early stage Lyme disease is a distinctive circular skin rash, known as erythema migrans. Ticks are carriers of the Lyme bacterium in their stomachs. The ticks then are vectors that can transmit the bacterium to humans with a tick bite. The number of cases of the disease in an area depends on the number of ticks present and how often the ticks are infected with the bacteria.
Signs and symptoms of pink eye
Conjunctivitis is most commonly caused by viral infection, but bacterial infections, allergies, other irritants and dryness are also common etiologies for its occurrence. The unique forms of pink eye have comparable indications but each case can have varying degrees of particular pink eye symptoms. Some of these symptoms are existent in the different types of pink eye. For example, allergic conjunctivitis causes itching, redness and excessive tearing in both eyes. Your nose also may be stuffy, itchy and runny.
