First signs of hiv

Although people taking HAART have suppressed levels of HIV, they can still spread the virus to others through sex or sharing needles. Many people infected with HIV do not have any signs of hiv at all for many years.
You can reduce your risk of getting the infection by practicing safer sex behaviors. However, abstinence is the only sure way to prevent sexual transmission of the virus.
The majority people infected by HIV develop a flu-like illness within a month or two after the virus enters the body. This illness, known as primary or acute HIV infection, may last for a few weeks.
