Medical emergency problems at signs of appendicitis
A less common complication of appendicitis is blockage or obstruction of the intestine which occurs when the inflammation surrounding the appendix causes the intestinal muscle to stop working, and this prevents the intestinal contents from passing. Abdominal pain is one of the classic signs of appendicitis, commonly accompanied by additional symptoms. Typical appendicitis usually includes abdominal pain beginning in the region of the umbilicus for several hours, associated with anorexia, nausea or vomiting.
More commonly, people with appendicitis have any combination of these symptoms. Toddlers with appendicitis sometimes have trouble eating and may seem unusually sleepy. Acute appendicitis is a medical emergency, and you should get conventional treatment immediately. Older patients should call a doctor immediately if they are experiencing a slight fever and pain on the right side of their abdomen.
